Share the Ride with TreadShare

Heading to the mountain? Fill a seat. Need a ride? Find one.

Mt. Rose is partnering with TreadShare to make employee carpooling easier this season. The app connects Mt. Rose employees who are already making the drive, so you can find a ride, offer available seats, split up the commute and help reduce the number of vehicles heading up the mountain.

And yes — there are rewards involved.

First-Drive BONUS

Drive First. Get $20.

We need drivers posting trips for TreadShare to work, so we’re giving employees a little extra motivation to get things rolling. Sign up as a driver, complete your first TreadShare drive and receive a $20 Elevation Card.

Drivers will need to complete TreadShare’s verification process, which includes submitting a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Once approved, you can post available seats whenever you’re heading to or from work.

Every completed employee carpool logged through TreadShare earns rewards opportunities for both drivers and riders.

Throughout the season, we’ll have prizes and raffles including things like:

Important: To receive carpool points and rewards this season, your rides need to be logged through TreadShare.

Getting Started

  1. Download TreadShare
    Download the TreadShare app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
  2. Create your account
    Create an account, verify your email and complete your profile. TreadShare requires your name, birth date and a clear profile photo.
  3. Join the Mt. Rose Employees group
    Find Mt. Rose Employees in the app and enter the employee group password: ROSE2627
  4. Looking for a ride?
    Select the Ride tab, make sure you’re viewing the Mt. Rose Employees group, then search by date/location or select View All Available to see posted employee rides.
  5. Have room in your car?
    Select the Drive tab and complete TreadShare’s driver approval process. Once approved, choose Mt. Rose Employees when posting your trip, add your departure time, meetup location and available seats, and post your ride.

You can also create the return trip at the same time so employees can coordinate both directions.

Using the street address helps avoid confusion with the Mt. Rose Summit trailhead.

When posting a ride, include useful details like whether you have room for skis or snowboards, where you want to meet, and anything else your passengers should know. Use TreadShare’s in-app messaging to coordinate the final details with your driver or riders.
