Golden Rose — Employee of the Month
Each month, departments may nominate one employee for Employee of the Month. Directors make the final selections via a Microsoft Form nomination process, and recipients are recognized the following month.
Golden Rose recipients receive unique branded apparel approved to wear as a uniform item — a visible badge of recognition on the mountain.

Safety Recognition Program (Larry Bucks)
The Safety Recognition Program recognizes employees who take proactive actions that reduce risk, prevent injuries, and improve workplace safety. Employees may earn Larry Bucks for completing, reporting, or supporting approved safety-related actions. Ways to earn Larry Bucks include:
- Report a hazard, near miss, unsafe condition, injury, or incident promptly.
- Correct a safety concern before it causes an injury or property damage.
- Suggest a practical improvement that reduces risk or improves safety procedures.
- Conduct a department safety walk-through or audit using the assigned checklist.
- Demonstrate safe work practices, including using required PPE, following procedures, maintaining situational awareness, and avoiding shortcuts.
- Communicate safety concerns, speak up when something does not look right, or positively intervene when unsafe acts are observed.
- Support emergency preparedness by knowing procedures, participating in drills, and helping keep emergency access and equipment clear.
Only Ski Patrol Supervisor and above may award Larry Bucks when they observe or verify a qualifying safety action. One Larry Buck may be redeemed for one $5 Elevation Card. Employees must turn in their Larry Buck to HR to receive the card.
