Opening Day Announced

Opening Day November 6th! We are looking good for that first of November week opening which gives us the 6 month season and offers a quality first day for those locals that have the itch to get the most out of our mountain. Kudos to everyone who has been pushing hard to make this all happen. Here are some of the highlights and messaging:

Mt. Rose will make snow at every opportunity that conditions permit!

• Temperatures below freezing (below 26 degrees preferred)
• Low humidity
• Duration: periods greater than 4 hours
• Wind: Lower winds so the snow stays on the mountain.

Goals:  Be the first resort open in Lake Tahoe, AND offer a quality ski experience from day one… meaning a we open one of our signature blue runs with 1000’ vertical feet.
